Softening Principle
Hard water contains dissolved minerals, particularly calcium and magnesium ions. These elements cause limescale deposits, which lead to malfunctions in equipment that comes into contact with water or steam. Softening works through ion exchange: the ions responsible for hardness are replaced by sodium ions. This process is carried out via a resin contained in a dedicated column.
Regeneration & Use
Calcium and magnesium ions are absorbed by the resin. Once saturated, it requires regeneration using a non-iodized salt solution to be recharged with sodium. This water softener can be installed anywhere where the temperature remains below 45°C and the pressure does not exceed 2 bar. For use exclusively on drinking water. Compatible with coffee machines, combi ovens, dishwashers, and ice makers. Its compact format is perfectly suited for bars and restaurants. Components are selected to ensure safe and durable operation.
